A notice has been published on the preparation of amendments to the San Polo–Colone Urban Development Plan in the Municipality of Bale. The procedure is now at an initial stage, during which information, requests from competent authorities and professional studies are collected for the draft plan.

An urban development plan regulates land use, building conditions, road access, infrastructure, public areas and the relationship with the coastal zone in greater detail. The amendments may therefore be relevant to landowners, investors, holders of existing rights and anyone planning tourism or other projects within the plan area.

The next important stage will be publication of the draft plan and the public consultation. Owners and investors will then be able to compare the current and proposed solutions and check the position, use, development potential, access and other restrictions affecting a particular plot. An effective comment should identify the plot or plan provision, explain its specific effect and propose a workable solution.
