The City of Crikvenica has announced two public consultations beginning on 30 September. The consultation on amendments to the Crikvenica Centre Urban Development Plan runs until 14 October, while the consultation on amendments to the City of Crikvenica Spatial Plan runs until 29 October 2026. Both proposals will be available for inspection on working days from 8.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kralja Tomislava 85. Public presentations will take place on 8 October at Vinodolska 1: the town-centre plan at 4 p.m. and the city-wide plan at 5.30 p.m.

The city-wide plan sets the broader framework for development areas, transport and infrastructure corridors, beaches, municipal facilities and future urban plans. The town-centre plan regulates the central area in greater detail. Proposed changes in the centre include new rules for the market and its canopy, the treatment of the existing petrol station on maritime domain, fewer permitted units in multi-apartment buildings, and a roundabout at Hrusta.

Landowners, investors and neighbours should review both documents. A plot may retain the same land use under the city-wide plan while becoming subject to different building or access conditions under the town-centre plan. An effective comment should identify the plot or planning solution concerned, explain its effect and propose a change. Written comments may be delivered to the City or emailed to pisarnica@crikvenica.hr by the deadline for the relevant plan.

The published documents remain proposals. Once the consultations close, the submissions will be considered, consultation reports prepared and the plans will proceed through the remaining adoption stages.
