An application for a location permit for Crikvenica City Beach was submitted on 9 September. According to Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, a decision announcing the intention to grant a concession will follow once the permit becomes final. This is an important step, but it begins a process in which the conditions will be set and a future concessionaire selected.
For interested businesses, the tender documents will be decisive: they will show which part of the maritime domain is covered, which activities are envisaged and which obligations the concessionaire will assume. For the public, another point matters just as much: the public beach must remain accessible to everyone on equal terms, without an entry fee, even when a concessionaire manages it.
The start of a new concession therefore depends on the permit becoming final, completion of the award procedure and conclusion of the concession agreement. Further official announcements will clarify the expected timetable.
