The construction contract for the 12.3-kilometre Jadranovo–Selce motorway section was signed on 31 July. For landowners, the more important question is whether their plot falls within the road corridor, associated access works or the relocation of utilities.

Notices have already been published in the Crikvenica area concerning plans for partial expropriation to establish easements for the relocation of electrical infrastructure connected with this section. They show that different parts of a large project may involve different property-rights procedures. An easement leaves ownership with the landowner but restricts use of the land; compensation is determined by the resulting reduction in the property's market value.

Landowners should therefore compare their plot number and cadastral municipality with the published notice, the location permit and the geodetic documentation. The key questions are which right is sought over the land, how much land is affected, and whether the corridor affects access, construction or use of the rest of the property. These details also matter when compensation is assessed. Only the documents for the specific works can answer the question for a particular plot.
